Dunhill Bruyere 252 (4A) (1954?)

After years of buffing, smoking and handling, this briar looks much like a root briar finish. It was certainly a favorite of someones. The rim is slightly damaged from what was probably an ashtray, and the edges of the rim are buffed round. The stem fits nicely but the button has a small chip on the right edge, though this should not interfere with a pleasing smoke. The date on this pipe is also somewhat mysterious as there is no patent number. Overall, the crosscut grain pattern is beautiful and the cosmetic issues of this briar are only representative of how beloved it once was.
